December Music News: Lights & Flights

I hope your holiday week has been nourishing in all ways. As well as making (and consuming) my share of pie, I've been busy preparing for more recording, the annual Lighted Boat Parade and two different and special shows in January and February.

I'd be lying to pretend I haven't had to do a bit of regrouping after November 5. To fight my dread, and keep the good vibes going, I'm putting together another excellent group of 19 Voices to perform at The Ivy Room, Sunday, January 26, in solidarity with those whose rights are being threatened. This time, we'll be raising funds for the ACLU. Come gather for the good with an all-star group of singers and songwriters!

Also giving me life: I'm thrilled to report we'll performing my avian-themed folk opera "Flight Lessons" close to the source of its inspiration at Rhythmix Cultural Works in Alameda on Saturday, February 8, 2025. This is a great local arts organization and stage and I'm grateful to have their support for this project. Speaking of gratitude: special thanks to those of you who attended my recent workshop performance of this project. It means more than you know.
While it's a couple months off, tickets for the February 8 show are already on sale at a variety of price points.  Featuring Mick Shaffer, Peter Whitehead, Kwame Copeland, Liz Stuart and Tania Johnson — Purchase tickets, mark your calendar, and join us!

Wishing you well,
Deborah
