Adding Water to the Ashes

To commemorate its 10-year recording anniversary, the title track of my first full-length record is made-over with drum loops, synth bass and keyboards.

I wrote the title track to my first full-length record Adding Water to the Ashes in the early aughts and the song has since become one of my set-list perennials. While I was mulling how to commemorate its 10-year recording anniversary, I thought of my appreciation for remixes of favorite songs (ala DNA's version of Suzanne Vega's "Tom's Diner"). So to bring "Adding Water to the Ashes" more fully into the present, I asked Mike Stevens of Lost Monkey Studio to remix the song. I'm super pleased with this newly realized version.
