Lighted Boat Parade!

Kwame and I have talked about doing the local Lighted Boat Parade in our folk boat for years but time constraints or something else have always interfered. Last year, we ordered oodles of extra lights in preparation and they arrived the day before the event was canceled due to Covid. We did up the porch instead but we're glad the parade was on again for 2021. We started decorating earlier in the week and got it together to be on the water last night (including a live musical component). Fun! And beautiful out there on the Oakland-Alameda Estuary. There were 45 official entrants at last count and, if we heard the VHS correctly at the end of the night, we came in second place among the sailboats!
Thanks to friends & neighbors for footage of Espresso from shore/their vessels.
