It's All Up to You

I've studied yoga for more than a decade, and Buddhism for the past 5 years, through which I've learned that it's up to us to change our mind. An easy enough direction but something that has taken this artist a lot of time to learn! I had the words and basic chords to this song when I took a second trip to Mysore, India, for another stint of practice changing my mind at the source of Ashtanga yoga. While there, I formed a little band with a couple of other yoga students, including Lasse who was in India from Finland. During a few roof-top practice sessions, he helped me develop the chord structure and voila! By the end of the trip we were performing it and I came back to the states to teach the band here.

There’s no war

If you don’t want there to be

Behind yoru eyes it’s clear to see

It’s all in your mind

It’s all in your mind

There’s no trouble

If you don’t want there to be

You choose what to keep in your pockets

It’s all in up to you

It’s all up to you

There’s no drama

Unless you hold on

No story, no cheating, no lies

Take what you want

Leave what you want

It’s all up to you

It’s all up to you
