Track 8 on Department of the West: “Long Roads”

In the wake of the #Metoo movement I’ve felt both more empowered ...and outraged. This song reflects on my own long road to piping up and using my voice as a woman living in these times.

Side note: Last week, I binge-read Ronan Farrow’s “Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators” a recounting of the many systems and networks that held Harvey Weinstein’s decades of alleged sexual abuse in place and Farrow’s efforts to finally bring the story to light. Read it. And support journalists, and anyone who is committed to bringing the truth to light.

Audio preview later this week!

Between now and it's official release day, I’ll be sharing a bit of inspiration and backstory for each song on The Department of the West (December 6, 2019), and a preview of the recording.

Pre-order the record HERE (direct through me) and I’ll send you the featured song of the week of your order.
